The Gordon Research Seminar on Crystal Engineering is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas. Crystal engineering often focuses on designing materials with desired properties stemming from their crystalline structures. This Gordon Research Seminar is focused on monitoring structural changes that result from variations in external parameters (e.g. pressure, temperature, composition, guest concentration in porous materials, particle size). We wish to explore how these changes affect the structures and properties of crystalline materials as well as offer explanations for certain behaviors exhibited by these materials.
